Yesterday I connected to my phone through the RødeCaster Pro while I was moderating a room. This worked really well. Sound quality was super good! If you want to know more about what I was doing – listen to episode 42 of the podcast.

I have started to look at Hazel that is a small automation software. It scans folders, that you configure it to do, and execute actions based on files in that folder. As an example it can move and rename files for you.

Currently I clean my “Downloads”-folder automatically when I file has been in there and not accessed for the last 3 weeks.

I have two goals for using this tool.

  1. Speed up my archiving of projects files and projects support material. This by looking at what filesystem tags I have added to the files.
  2. Speed up the flow for this podcast. I’d like it to move the wave-file, rename it and the start audacity and run the macro on the file. That would save me probably 3-4 minutes every day.

To do this I will probably need to look into JavaScripting on the MacOS platform. I know JS well – but has never worked with the MacOS implementation so there is some learnings to be done.
